How it works. Describe it — we’ll find it.
1. Describe it
Write the scene the way you'd describe it to a friend — subject, action, setting, colors, mood. No title needed; the title is the thing you forgot. A half-remembered scene is a perfect query here.
2. The description becomes a search
An AI rewrite sharpens your words into search terms, and your raw words run alongside it so nothing gets lost in translation. If you typed the exact words — a line of dialogue, a lyric, a catchphrase — your first twelve words also run verbatim as their own search, because a remembered quote is often the title's fingerprint. At the same time, the AI guesses candidate titles from your description; only guesses that verify against the TV, movie, music, anime and book catalogs are shown, in a "Could it be one of these?" strip above the results.
3. We search everywhere — 700+ sources at once
Your search fans out across more than 700 sources in parallel: video platforms, the PeerTube federation, TV, anime and manga catalogs, music services, public archives, museums and libraries. Results merge into one grid, duplicates removed, every card naming its source. See the full picture on the sources page.
4. Narrow it like a detective
The refine bar above your results lets you pin down what kind of memory it is — Animated, Live action, Movie scene, TV show, Music video, Viral clip, Meme — and the era: From the 90s, From the 2000s, Recent, Famous. Each chip re-runs the search with that lens on.
5. Found it — or honestly not
Open the match at its home on the internet; AiSearcher hosts nothing. And if nothing anywhere matches — a shot that exists only in your head — the generator panel can create a brand-new AI image from your exact description, clearly labeled as generated, never passed off as a found result.
